Shamsu and her sister live with their grandmother in the village of Moi. Her mother died in 2011 from malaria. Shamsu is in seventh grade at Tuko Pamoja Primary School Vetinory. She enjoys jumping rope and playing soccer. Shamsu is in good health and enjoys school. Shamsu is sponsored by Sherry Bader.
