Zawadi, her brother Emmanuel and three other siblings live with their mother and grandmother in Mpirani Village. Their father died falling out of a coconut tree. After his death his family chased their mother and all the children away. They fled to the mother’s home village. Emmanuel is in second grade and Zawadi in first grade at Masheheni Primary School. Both children enjoy playing and helping their mother in the garden. Zawadi and Emmanuel are sponsored by Laura Davis.
