Imani Project Art
The Imani Project is pleased to announce our collaboration with watercolorist Tupper Malone in offering her beautiful artwork for sale through our website. We welcome the opportunity to work with Tupper Malone to benefit the Imani Project. A portion of the profits from each print sold will go to the Imani Project.
The prints you see here are part of Tupper Malone's Sacred Word collection.
The originals are watercolors. The process itself consists of arranging the individual letters of the word in a pleasing composition, and than transferring that composition to water color paper. Negative painting is used around the letters to create the background which renders the individual letters white with a painted background. Next, watercolors are airbrushed onto the surface using angled plastic templates. The templates are repositioned many times in alternating primary colors to create the final rayed pattern.
The Giclee (zhee-CLAY) or print is an individually produced, high-resolution, high fidelity reproduction printed on a special large format printer. The Giclee is printed on Hahnemule WT 310 watercolor giclee paper with archival Ultrachrome inks.
We hope you enjoy viweing these beautiful and unique works of art. Thank you for your support of The Imani Project.
